Sale complete for last-built condo at The Villages

TIVERTON, RHODE ISLAND (June 27, 2022) – Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty announced the sale of the last condominium built at The Villages on Mount Hope Bay, an extraordinary +55 waterfront community. The sale of 183 Leeshore Lane, brokered by Bridget Torrey of Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty’s Tiverton office, sold for $1,267,927, the highest sales price this year at The Villages.

The development of The Villages on Mount Hope Bay began in 2002 by Starwood Tiverton, LLC on property that was previously home to an oil tank “farm” following World War II. Between 2004 and 2007, over one hundred townhouses, a 10,000-sq. ft. clubhouse, two 26-unit midrise condominiums and a restaurant were built. Bridget Torrey began handling the sales in 2007 for the collection of seaside luxury residences. In 2014, the Tiverton Partners/Peregrine Group began the design and construction of the remaining 53 freestanding units, of which 183 Leeshore Lane was the last.

The northwest-facing 183 Leeshore Lane is a waterfront end-unit with main-level and second-level principal suites. Amenities include hardwood flooring, marble baths, and a walkout lower level. A covered porch presents sunset views over Mount Hope Bay. The community clubhouse offers fitness, pool, tennis, clubs, and group events.

Bridget Torrey stated, “There were 31 units at The Villages sold in the past year. Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty and I were pleased to have listed 19 of these and assisted buyers in 15 sales.” Over the past 15 years, Bridget has been personally involved in 214 of the 329 sales for The Villages. Colin Kane, principal of Tiverton Partners, acknowledged, "Bridget was instrumental in the successful completion of the Villages community, and her role encompassed far more than just selling. From the outset of our involvement, she led the product positioning and design process and served as a well-informed, thoughtful center for us on the ground. We are very lucky to have Bridget as our partner in success and look forward to working with her and Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty again."
