Our Story

Established in 1925, the firm of Gustave JS White has consistently been associated with fine real estate. Since 2000, the company has been owned by Paul Leys and Christina West and continues to offer buyers and sellers exceptional service and professionalism. While specializing in the high-end market, our aim is to represent properties of all kinds and price ranges with integrity and confidence.

With offices in Newport and Tiverton, Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty is supported by a team of over 37 experienced sales professionals serving all of Rhode Island, from large oceanfront homes to moderately priced single-family and multi-family houses and condominiums with locations in Bristol County, Newport County, South County, and Providence as well as coastal Massachusetts and Connecticut. Our agents’ expertise also extends to land sales, residential seasonal and year-round rentals, the commercial market, and developments.

In 1976, Gustave JS White Real Estate became the first Sotheby’s International Realty® affiliate. Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty and Sotheby’s International Realty have since combined their efforts to achieve many of Rhode Island’s highest and most notable sales. In 1985, the agency joined the international network of Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate and has served as the exclusive Regent Member for Rhode Island since 2004.
