  1. Sited atop one of the highest points in Newport, the iconic ‘Bird House’ located at 70 Beacon Hill Road was sold for $9 Million.  This exquisite home was built by Campbell Soup heiress, Dorrance H. Hamilton, who spared no expense creating a beautiful sanctuary utilizing all that modern technology could provide.

2. With a sales price of $6.99 Million, ‘The Playhouse’ is second-highest sale in Newport County.  This iconic Newport landmark was completely rebuilt by its previous owners with the highest specifications, materials, and craftsmanship.  Set on one of Ocean Drive's most serene locations bordering Prices Neck Cove, the residence is stylishly designed for comfort with an added garage/two-bedroom guest house.

3. 20 Ocean Heights Road in Newport is an exquisite Frank Lloyd Wright inspired design with dramatic views of Atlantic, echoed by a large infinity pool. Sold for $6.295 Million, this idyllic home overlooks Lily Pond and offers a path to white sandy ocean beaches beyond.

4. 'Harbor Watch' is a custom-built shingle-style contemporary set on over 2.5 acres directly across the street from Newport Harbor.  Fetching a sales price of $6 Million, nothing comparable on the market offers first-class living with water views so close to town.  All four bedrooms have ensuite baths, with the master suite including a turret sitting area.  The lower level offers media rooms, recreation area, and work space and opens to sweeping lawn and harbor views.

5. Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty was pleased to announce the sale of the iconic ‘Howard Brown Villa’ in September 2018.  Located on almost 5 acres along Newport's famed Bellevue Avenue, the residence was once owned by respected diplomat and literary scholar John J. Slocum and his wife Eileen Gillespie Slocum.  The estate remained in the family since its design by Dudley Newton was built in 1880.  The manor house, built of locally quarried granite trimmed in brownstone sold for $4.4 million.

6. 'Wyndham,' located at 36 Beacon Hill Road for sold for $4.4 Million.  This represents a new chapter for the iconic Newport stone "cottage” designed by William Ralph Emersonin 1890 for Rose A. Grosvenor of Providence and New York. Ensconced in the heart of the Ocean Drive estate area and close to Newport Harbor, the estate has had a varied and interesting history.

7. Designed by George Champlin Mason & Son and built of yellow Milwaukee brick and Ohio limestone in 1873, 'The Orchard' is set on almost 5 acres of park-like grounds and features one of the largest private pools in Rhode Island.  A large terrace and beautiful gardens with 150-year-old beech trees, fountains, and statuary illustrate the Gilded Age "cottage" setting.  The residence is graced with marble floors, paneled wood libraries, original ornamental plaster work, a lap pool, two hot tubs, and an indoor pool.  A detached carriage house provides two guest or staff quarters, five garage spaces, rec room, and two greenhouses.   The sale included all furnishings and artwork at $4.35 Million.

A Palladian-style villa, originally built in in the early twentieth century, 'Casa Del Sole' was recently renovated with state-of-the art systems throughout.  Set on almost two acres just off Ocean Drive, the historic property's update was designed for entertaining, with a large custom chef's kitchen, grand entrance staircase, and multiple covered patios flowing to a neoclassical pool area with firepit and seating areas.  The residence also includes two master suites with private balconies.  The striking villa, owned by Olympic figure skater Michelle Kwan and located on Hammersmith Road in Newport, Rhode Island sold for $3,999,000.
